I’ve maintained various blogs on and off for 20+ years. As I’m sure a lot of folks can relate to, I’ve often said “I want to write more” and then don’t. In fact, I’ve probably written a half dozen “this is my new home and I want to write more” posts with the same sentiment, so we’ll see if this one sticks ;)
Today I turned 35, and as a birthday gift to myself I picked up this domain. I think it’s fitting: when I started my first personal site, I was a Very Serious™ 12-year-old and and went with the full “First M. Last” formality (with testimonials and all). Later, I went a little more casual with just firstname.ca. It’s funny that as you get older you no longer need to show anyone how serious you are. Loosen the tie and live a little, you know?
